VISUAL MEDIA
Encouraging young people to get involved in visual media. Animation, photography, video, design, digital storytelling, staging and communications can be a meaningful way for them to grow in both creativity and their Christian faith. In a world shaped by images and media, these tools give youth the opportunity to share truth, hope, and the message of the Gospel in ways that reach far beyond the walls of a church.
Throughout Scripture, God uses imagery, symbolism, and storytelling to communicate His message. Today, visual media continues that tradition in a modern form. When youth create videos, graphics, or photos that reflect God’s love, they’re not just learning technical skills, they’re becoming storytellers of faith. They can highlight acts of service, capture moments of worship, or create content that encourages others in their walk with Christ.
Getting involved in visual media also teaches discipline, collaboration, and responsibility. It helps young people think critically about the messages they consume and create, guiding them to use media in ways that honor God rather than simply follow trends. It can even open doors to future careers while grounding them in purpose and values.
Most importantly, visual media gives youth a voice. It reminds them that they don’t have to wait to make an impact, they can use their talents right now to inspire, uplift, and point others toward God.
